Founded Graeme Etheridge and Jimi Dicker, Public Realm Protection Limited was established in order to help companies and organisations to understand their strategic and operational security needs, articulate them, and then help them to secure the best solution(s) for their organisation.
Jimi and Graeme lead Public Realm Protection Limited with passion, driven by a set of strong personal values, underpinned their extensive experience and professional training and qualifications.
Inspired by the people we meet, their stories and experience and the campaigns they lead to improve community and organisational safety. Including the most recently campaign to introduce the new Protect Duty legislation for the United Kingdom.
Public Realm Protection Limited works with an extensive network of Associates. All of our Associates are highly experienced, independent consultants focused on delivering practical action-based solutions. .
Client Confidentiality and Engagement is Key
Our clients value our approach which enables them to understand their organisation's vulnerabilities and threats without creating additional risk exposure in doing so. This includes explaining the anticipation of any emerging threats, and the preventative steps that the organisation can introduce to mitigate those threats.
We work with teams to help with internal and public consultations focused on developing plans and securing public and stakeholder understanding and support. We endeavour to help organisations work within the relevant legislative requirements and regulatory frameworks, including the guidance set down by the UK Commissioner for Biometrics and Camera Surveillance; as well as working to international and industry best practice where practicable.

About Us
Graeme Etheridge, Managing Director
Having had an extensive leadership career within the commercialised not for profit sectors, visitor attractions/heritage and cultural, education, and local and national governmental, including having worked for the UK’s Cabinet Office and No.10, and the Home Office.
Graeme has also worked with the Security Services, Civil Aviation Authority, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance and Police Services. Acting as Gold Command, and advising local and regional Safety Advisory Groups and partnerships.
Graeme has strategic insight whilst understanding and being able to foresee operational necessities. He has extensive experience of reshaping organisation culture and structures, and business turnaround.
Graeme leads Public Realm Protection Ltd and the team with passion, and inspired by the colleagues, professionals and communities and the various victims and survivor groups he has worked with.
He is also a member of the RAF Club, along with being a life member of Institute of Directors(MIoD), a Chartered Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy (FCIPFA), and a member of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (MISRM). Graeme is also a trained coach and mentor.
Jimi Dicker, Lead Technical Security Consultant & Design Engineer
With over 25 years’ experience working within the security & construction sector, Jimi has led and delivered sensitive reviews and infrastructure projects across the UK, Middle East and Australasia.
A member of the Security Institute (SI), Independent Association of Security Consultants (IASC), Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM), and the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) Jimi has undertaken the development and delivery of many largescale, complex and sensitive projects, nationally and internationally, from Critical National Infrastructure sites to Museums, Publicly Accessible Locations (PALs) and Spaces and Retail operations.
Helping organisations to understand the importance of deploying effective security strategies that are Secure by Design, robust, resilient and fit for the purpose of which they have been deployed and using the correct technology for its operating environment, and for staff to be able to use them effectively.
